Summary: My two friends and I really enjoyed the wine tasting experience. The sommelier was really knowledgeable and gave us lots of information about the history of wine in Macedonia as well as describing the different flavours found in the wines. The wines themselves were all excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the charcuterie platter that accompanied the wines. A really great way to spend an evening.

Summary: (scroll down for detail review) great experience to try macedonian wine in the centre of Ohrid! 좋은 가격에 마케도니아 와인을 맛볼 수 있어서 좋았음, 친절한 스태프, 와인바 위치도 좋아서 한잔하러 또갈듯 == At first, I thought this is going to be another wine tasting. But I was immediately positively surprised by its historical location and beautiful local. The collection of wines in wine bar Bacchus is overwhelming especially when you realize these are all Macedonian wines. In other words, this place is a hidden gem for wine lovers. There is no other bar that represents wine in Ohrid like this, hands down. The wine itself was fruitier compared to other southern European wines, which I liked. The taste is strong and isn’t shy to show itself. The only downside is that the flavor has a shorter duration. Nevertheless, this was immediately tackled by a better quality of wine. Which brings me to the last part. The more expensive the bottle, the better the wine, but it doesn’t mean that the cheap wines are bad. Not at all, wine bar Bacchus has shown the contrary, even a cheap bottle like Stobi Rkaciteli or Vranec was great, let alone an expensive bottle of Popova Kula or Kamnik. The sommelier was very polite and knew his wines very well. He gave me a very welcoming feeling without being to much. He explained about the flavors, way of production and history of the producers. He also elaborated about the local products on the platter. The platter was very tasty and you can feel that most products were local. Personally, I am not a big fan of the TUC crackers, but the variation of local cheeses and cured meats were amazing, especially the ones glazed in honey and dried figs. To wrap things up. Great place and location, beautiful atmosphere, lovely people, amazing bites and unbelievably tasty wines. A must see in Ohrid!
